The WPCL mentoring committee is excited to update you all on the new collaboration with RPCVnexus. We are merging the RPCVnexus and WPCL mentoring programs. When our in-house Peace Corps partner, ERG WE@PC, was disbanded earlier this year our ability to have a vehicle for robust mentee recruiting within Peace Corps disappeared. At the same time, RPCVNexus launched a mentoring program with a special focus on recently returning PCVs and the many RPCVs who had been let go from federal government employment. It appeared to be a match made in heaven….an organization with an amazing group of mentors meets an organization with many more folks in search of a great mentor than they could handle.
In this collaboration, WPCL will not lose its identity, but rather be celebrated as a partner committed to being a resource for RPCVs. RPCVnexus also stands ready to actively promote any other activities we might host. Close to 700 RPCVs have participated in RPCVnexus services and events, which will example WPCL’s reach. Addditionally, WPCL will have a representative on the RPCVnexus mentor steering team, which meets monthly.
